Beta Systems to offer integrated Eurekify technology for role model engineering and management
Berlin, Germany. 31. May 2007 – Beta Systems, the leader in role-based user administration and provisioning, and Eurekify, the leader in role model engineering and management, announce an OEM agreement which allows Beta Systems to offer its new product “SAM Role Modeler” based on Eurekify’s Sage Enterprise Role Management software. SAM Role Modeler replaces the current SAM Role Miner within the SAM Identity Management suite, offering a deeper and broader set of role engineering and role model management functions. The combination of Beta’s provisioning product SAM Jupiter and the new SAM Role Modeler forms the most complete, integrated solution for role-based user privileges management. Companies can now shorten role engineering and role modeling efforts, establish automated provisioning and set up role-driven compliance controls in a single, homogeneous approach.
SAM Role Modeler adds quick and substantial value to provisioning projects. Beta Systems customers can now use it in pre-IdM assessment projects to establish a business case and technical plan for Identity Management deployment projects. As part of this short effort, customers may detect and quantify structural problems with existing access rights, thereby reducing IdM project risks. The tool can then be used to quickly and effectively create a role model through top-down and bottom-up analysis, and to easily deploy this model in Beta’s SAM Jupiter for efficient automated provisioning. SAM Jupiter’s integrated role administration further leverages roles as a basis for efficient, automated provisioning of access rights and controlling of security policies and access rights in all strategic IT systems of an organization. The alignment of the business processes with the role model itself is at the same time audited by SAM Role Modeler. The new combined offering provides all functions for a comprehensive role life-cycle management. The fact that both products are based on the ANSI NIST standard for role-based administration makes the integration very natural and rewarding to customers.
“Beta Systems has been a pioneer in role- and rule-based user provisioning, and we accumulated substantial experience in such projects. Our new SAM Role Modeler, based on Eurekify’s technology, complements SAM Jupiter in a perfect way”, says Kamyar Niroumand, CEO of Beta Systems. “Together, these products give our experienced Professional Services team all the tools they need to implement a true role-based solution that includes compliance enforcement and validation.”
“We are proud to be selected by Beta Systems’ Identity Management team which is one of the most experienced in role-based privileges management. We share substantial experiences and values, which will surely make the partnership very successful”, says Azi Cohen, CEO of Eurekify. “The combined suite is clearly one of the best offerings on the market.”
